Kelsey Jost
Biography
Kelsey Jost is a dedicated and accomplished Associate Attorney with a profound commitment to amplifying the voices of her clients. She began her legal journey serving as a Deputy Assistant Prosecutor, a role that instilled in her a deep appreciation for the law's capacity to effect positive change and protect victims' rights. This experience inspired her to transition into family law, where she could focus her efforts on individual clients and navigate them through complex family law matters.
Kelsey is an alumnus of the University of Oregon, where she earned both her undergraduate degree, majoring in Spanish with a minor in Business Associations, and her Juris Doctor. Throughout her academic journey, Kelsey distinguished herself by receiving a merit scholarship and earning a place on the Dean's List. During law school, she served as the Director of Communications for the Moot Court Board and participated in the ABA Regional Mock Trial Competition.
Her time at the University of Oregon was punctuated by significant practical experiences. Kelsey interned with the Oregon Department of Justice, supporting the litigation of juvenile dependency cases, and at the Multnomah District Attorney's Office, managing a caseload of violation of restraining order cases within the Domestic Violence Unit.
As a licensed attorney in both Oregon and Washington, Kelsey is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the King County Bar Association. Her 30-hour Mediation Training & Certification further equips her with the skills to help clients reach amicable resolutions in contentious situations.
When she's not advocating for her clients, Kelsey revels in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, spending her free time skiing, hiking, and boating. She's also a fervent supporter of the University of Oregon's sports teams, often cheering, "Go Ducks!"
Kelsey Jost is not only an accomplished attorney but also a compassionate ally. Her experience in prosecution and family law, combined with her deep dedication to serving her clients, makes her an invaluable asset to our team and to those she represents.
